answers
1) 22% (EIA)
2) hydropower. But give yourself half credit for coal. Although hydropower (basically which comes from dams) at 1 cent a kilowatt/hour is the cheapest energy around once you have built a dam, if you were to take into consideration the upfront costs of building a dam it gets a little more expensive. Nuclear power also has huge start up costs, but once a power plant is up and running, it only costs about 2 cents a kilowatt/hour. Coal is more expensive - 4 cents - but has the smallest start up costs. (NEED)
3) Canada accounts for 19% of our crude oil imports. (EIA)
4) 5.7 - 16 billion barrels (USGS)
5) industry (EIA - pdf)
